Hexton Hill – Care & Finish Guide
Each piece is protected with Osmo Polyx®-Oil — a hardwax-oil finish chosen for its natural feel, subtle sheen, and long-term durability. This guide explains how to care for it day-to-day, and when to reach out.

Daily Use & Cleaning
• Dust with a soft, dry cloth.
• For occasional cleaning, use a slightly damp cloth with water or a natural soap (such as Osmo Wash and Care).
• Avoid spray cleaners or alcohol-based products.

There’s no need to baby it — but do keep it dry, and clean it gently.

Ongoing Maintenance
Over time, the finish may lose some of its original sheen or water repellency. When that happens:
• Use Osmo Liquid Wax Cleaner to clean and refresh the surface. It’s applied with a soft cloth, no special tools needed.
• For more noticeable wear, a thin coat of oil may be required — we’re happy to handle that for you.

Important Notes
• Wipe up spills promptly.
• Avoid standing water, especially on tabletops.
• Don’t cover the surface with rugs, heavy fabric, or pads for the first few weeks.
• Please don’t sand or refinish the piece yourself.

Care & Finish Guide

Regular Cleaning Wipe regularly with a soft, dry cloth. For occasional cleaning, use a lightly dampened cloth, then dry immediately. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. Protection Keep surfaces dry and avoid prolonged exposure to moisture or direct heat. Finish Maintenance Your piece is finished with hardwax oil (Osmo) to create a natural semi-matte look and protective surface. Over time, you may wish to reapply hardwax oil to restore lustre and protection. Legs and Undersides Oak legs may also be cleaned with a soft cloth and re-oiled when required to maintain an even tone and appearance. Long-Term Care Reapply hardwax oil every few years, or as needed, to maintain the finish. Small marks or wear can often be repaired by gently sanding the affected area with a fine abrasive and reapplying oil. If you're unsure or would like help with refinishing or repair, feel free to contact us - we're happy to advise. Additional Guidance: A printed care and assembly guide is included with each order Please note: This piece is intended for indoor use only. It is not rated or tested for outdoor conditions.
